Set up a clean measurement

  1. Prop your phone upright. Use portrait orientation with the phone around chest height and the screen facing you.
  2. Stand 2–4 metres away. Keep your whole body visible, including your head, feet, and space above you.
  3. Hold still for auto-start. Once the frame is ready, stay still for about 2 seconds. Jump on the long tone.
  4. Jump and land on the same spot. Land with your legs extended similarly to takeoff. A deep bent-knee landing can inflate flight-time results.

Bright, even light and a stable phone give body tracking the clearest frames to work with.

Troubleshooting

TrueVert cannot see your whole body

Move farther from the phone, check that your feet remain visible, and leave space above your head. Face a window or add room lighting if the image is dark.

The countdown does not begin

Stay still after entering the frame. Walking or shifting can delay auto-start. You can also switch to the rear camera, which offers a manual start when someone else is operating the phone.

No jump was found

Jump shortly after the long tone and perform one clean jump in the recording. Make sure your takeoff and landing both remain visible.

The app asks you to redo the jump

TrueVert only saves an automatic result when its measurement checks agree. Improve lighting, keep the phone stable, use fitted clothing where possible, and land with your legs extended. You can also review the takeoff and landing frames manually.

The camera is unavailable

Open Android Settings, find TrueVert under Apps, and confirm Camera permission is allowed. Restart the app after changing permission. Camera frame rates vary by Android device, so trying the other camera can also help.

Measurements and replays

Saved jumps appear on the home screen. Tap a jump to watch its replay. If a saved result needs correction, open it and choose Manually adjust to mark the first frame off the floor and the first frame back on the floor.

Units and optional metrics

Switch between inches and centimetres from the home screen. If you provide body mass for an estimated power metric, that value remains stored locally on your device.

Delete your data

Press and hold an individual jump in your history to delete that saved measurement and its video. To remove all TrueVert data, uninstall the app through Android Settings. TrueVert has no account or cloud copy to delete.
